I made this tabletop party game for my Game Design Fundamental Final. This is a party game that allows players communicating with strangers. It is an icebreaker.

I got inspired by the original Flight chess. I think Flight chess is a really classical and fun game for the player. Also, I played a lot when I was a kid. However, from a game designer perspective, I think the Flight Chess might be lack of something that players can connect and communicate with each other. Basically, we are just roll the dice and trying to reach the final location. When players play the Flight Chess with their family and friends, it is good enough, because they are already familiar with each other. They can chat while playing the game. However, Flight Chess doesn't seem to be a good choice for icebreaker. I will definitely not choose this game if I have to play with strangers. (I still love Flight Chess). Flight Chess is lack of the "outwit" and interaction between players.

That's why I designed this game - Trying to Jump Over My Head? No Way!

By adding the funny player interaction and allowing players to get to know each other, this game is a great choice for icebreaker to play with strangers. Imagine that in the college / university orientation, if you got this game on the table, you will make friends very easily. I believe that everyone is a funny creature with tons of great ideas / opinions & experience, all we need is just a way to express those.

I designed lots of funny questions, like tongue twisters, truth or lie questions, songs and Would You Rather ... questions. With all these interesting mechanics, this game can create a nice atmosphere for the players. Players also can be chilling and enjoy the communication of new friends.
